What better follows new music than a live show? Not much, and Justin Timberlake knows it. Foregoing any kind of 'intimate' gig or small affair, he's heading straight for the Superbowl for his first performance in years.

Timberlake will be performing at the DIRECTV Super Saturday Night charity event in aid of Shriners Hospitals for Children, ahead of the game on Sunday, Billboard reports. Linked in with another charity event during the day the Annual Celebrity Beach Bow. This year is its 7th and a celebrity football game. This year's players include Snoop Lion/Dogg, Olympian Lolo Jones and Gossip Girl's Chace Crawford. Justin Timberlake will undoubtedly be the hgihlight of the day though, with The Roots' own Questlove Djing both before and after Timberlake's performance, it's a whole night of music.

The ex-N*Sync singer has recently released his first single in 6 years, Suit&Tie, which features Jay-Z, and has also released plans for an album named The 20/20 Experience, which is tipped to include collaborations with Beyonce. Beyonce is also performing at a Superbowl event, except she's been given pride of place at the half time show, along with the rest of Destiny's Child for their first live performance since their reunion.
