Justin Timberlake was moved to issue an emphatic apology to Buffalo as a whole following the delay of his show, which was previously scheduled for Saturday next week.
Justin Timberlake was full of contrition for Buffalo
The delay came about due to "health reasons" forcing Timberlake to rescheduled Wednesday's show at Madison Square Garden for Friday night, meaning a trip to Buffalo, including stripping down and rebuilding the set there, wasn’t viable.
So Justin used his TV appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon show contrition, providing Buffalo with a heartfelt apology, and a Fallon-based disclaimer should his audience not be satisfied. “Hi, Buffalo," he said. "I'm Justin Timberlake and I want to say I'm sorry for postponing my concert this Saturday.
And I know what you're thinking: 'I don't want an apology, I want a concert.' Trust me, I hear you Buffalo. But there's no reason to raise your voice. We've got a good thing going, and I don't want to mess that up,” went the apology, before he began to offer something Fallon couldn’t 100% commit to.
“So I'll tell you what I'm going to do. I'm coming back July 9th and you'd better be ready. Because we're going to party – we’re going to party hard. That’s a guarantee. And if for some reason, you're not satisfied, Jimmy Fallon will come to your house and give you a full body massage. I'm talking hot stones, wax, everything! So I'll see you this summer, Buffalo!"
“I don’t know if that’s true,” added Fallon.
Timberlake will now perform at the First Niagara Center in Buffalo on Wednesday, July 9. Tickets purchased for the original date will be honored; refunds can be obtained at point of purchase.
