Justin Bieber's manager Scooter Braun has asked a Florida judge to seal his deposition in the pop superstar's paparazzo assault lawsuit to prevent his testimony leaking to the press.
In March (14), the Baby hitmaker was questioned at length over his involvement in an alleged run-in with photographer Jeffrey Binion in Miami last summer (13).
The singer is accused of instructing his bodyguard, Hugh Hesney, to choke the snapper and demand he delete images he took of Bieber outside a recording studio.
Video footage of the deposition surfaced online, showing the troubled pop star behaving badly as he was quizzed about his life and career.
Braun was due to give his side of the story in a deposition on Thursday (15May14), but instead of showing up to give his side of the story, his lawyer filed court papers seeking to keep the testimony private.
Braun claims the snapper's lawyer is just "an a**clown looking for publicity" and is convinced the plaintiff's representative will simply ask him irrelevant questions in an attempt to embarrass Bieber, according to Tmz.com.
