Last night (January 1, 2013), a paparazzi photographer was struck by another vehicle whilst trying to photograph Justin Bieber’s white Ferrari. According to TMZ, Justin Bieber was not in the car at the time, despite previous suggestions that he was. An update from TMZ suggests that one of Justin's friends was driving, whilst another was in the passenger seat.

The fatal incident occurred when Los Angeles police pulled the driver of the Ferrari over for a routine traffic stop on Sepulveda Blvd in LA, near to the Getty Centre. A paparazzo, who had been trying to take photos of Bieber’s car, was told by the California Highway Patrol to move back, after telling him that the situation was unsafe. At some point after that, the photographer was hit by an oncoming vehicle. Sources have told TMZ that drugs and alcohol were not a factor in the driver who hit the photographer. LAPD are now investigating the incident, which has left the paparazzo dead.

This is not the first time that Justin, his Ferrari and the paparazzi have hit the headlines, though the outcome has never been so tragic. Back in November, Bieber got pulled over in the Ferrari by the cops. And the young pop star managed to narrowly escape charges after allegedly assaulting a paparazzo in LA, as well.
