Justin Bieber has been talking a lot in the press of growing up on his new material, the star recently turning 18 and realising that he can't be a kids favorite forever. Well he's certainly looking to raise the average age who'll be allowed to listen to his music judging by a brief 10 second trailer he previewed of his forthcoming single 'Boyfriend' on YouTube, with the squeaky clean performer including a swear word in his lyrics!
Bieber let his fans know on - where else - Twitter that he was ready to preview his forthcoming track, asking them "u wanna hear how Boyfriend starts?" They did, obviously, and so Bieber posted a 10 second YouTube clip which showed him at his computer checking out a mix, testing headphones and working on his lyrics whilst a single electronic note loops and a snare and bass drum kick in at the end.
That sounds grown up in itself, but pause to the section where he's working on his lyrics and you'll spot a line which reads "If I was your boyfriend, never let you go, put you onto s**t that I bet you didn't know." We wonder if this has been subtly included in the footage by his management to indicate his newly adult aiming material, or whether he's snuck this one past them.
