Justin Bieber has been slapped with a lawsuit after allegedly attacking a paparazzo in California last year (12) following a date with his on/off girlfriend Selena Gomez.
Jose Osmin Hernandez Duran claims he was photographing the teenagers as they left a restaurant in Calabasas and continued to click away as the Baby hitmaker struggled to manoeuvre his new Mercedes out of the parking lot.
The singer reportedly became frustrated with the throng of snappers who had gathered around the car and according to Duran's court documents, he jumped out and "delivered a martial arts-type kick" to the paparazzo's rib cage.
Duran has also accused Bieber of punching him and pushing him against a parked car before driving off. In the legal papers, the snapper suggests Gomez returned to the scene of the alleged crime moments later and apologised for her then-boyfriend's actions as she searched for her cell phone.
The snapper is seeking unspecified damages for assault and battery, according to Tmz.com.
The lawsuit is the latest in a string of legal woes for Bieber - he's already been hit with a separate lawsuit from another paparazzo following a scuffle in Miami, Florida earlier this month (Jun13), while he has been accused of speeding within the compounds of his Calabasas gated community and was investigated by Los Angeles police last week (17Jun13) amid reports the singer accidentally struck a photographer with his car. He was reportedly cleared of any wrongdoing.
