Despite continued (and somewhat misguided) support from fans, this past week has been rough for Justin Bieber. Legal trouble and public backlash don’t seem to have gotten to Bieber, who seemed happy and at ease, leaving a rented Miami mansion on Friday. Surrounded by bodyguards, Bieber took the time to sign autographs for his ever-present crowd of fans.

Despite his legal and PR troubles, Bieber is doing a great job of keeping his chin up.

Bieber’s 38-year-old father Jeremy was with him at the time. With rumors that Bieber’s life is spiraling out of control, his father has been accused of being a bad influence on the young pop star. According to New York Daily News, the Boyfriend singer has reportedly rejected his management’s appeals to check into rehab.

On Thursday, Bieber was arrested on a DUI charge in Miami, after being stopped drag-racing through a Miami neighborhood in his yellow Lamborghini. After being stopped, Bieber apparently resisted the officer, saying "Why did you stop me? Why the f**k are you doing this?"

The media frenzy began when Bieber was arrested on a DUI charge on Thursday.

Following the arrest and his subsequent release, the Biebs has appeared in high spirits. Before his Miami appearance, he took to Twitter to post what seemed like word of encouragement for his fans, only they sounded oddly aggressive, written in all caps: "YOU ARE ALL WORTHY NO MATTER WHAT ANYONE SAYS >>BE STRONG GOD IS WITH US ALL >>MY BELIEBERS CHANGED MY LIFE >>I WILL FOREVER BE GRATEFUL."
