Justin Bieber reportedly faces arrest for defacing a hotel building with graffiti.

Police officers paid a visit to the mansion rented by the 'Boyfriend' singer in Rio De Janiero to quiz him after he was photographed spray painting the wall of the £23 million property in the early hours of Tuesday morning (05.04.13).

According to civil police chief Antonio Ricardo, officers tried to locate the 19-year-old pop star at his residence following the incident, but he had already left the country and it is claimed he could be arrested next time he next enters Brazil.

Graffiti is considered an act of vandalism in Brazil and offenders can face a jail sentence between three months to one year.

Justin had been accompanied by his bodyguards and a group of friends when he drew a series of animated images, and scribbled phrases such as 'Beliebers 4 life' and 'respect privacy' onto the wall of the private property in the upmarket area of Sao Conrado.

Brazilian agency AG news reports that local photographers, who had been attempting to take pictures of the incident, were forced to call police after being attacked by members of Justin's security.

One paparazzo claims his clothes were ripped by the singer's security, while another complained his car was pelted which bricks ripped from the cobblestone pavement.

Justin allegedly stuck up his middle finger and shouted ''suck my d**k'' to photographers trying to catch him in the act.

Meanwhile, Rio's military police have started an investigation into why officers who arrived following the incident failed to arrest the star at the scene.
