Justin Bieber has made good on his promise to meet a young fan who tragically lost her father in the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
Payton Wall, 14, whose dad died in the 2001 attack on New York's World Trade Center, originally wrote a letter to the Baby hitmaker asking to meet him, and when she received no response, she called on U.S. President Barack Obama in a bid to make her dream come true.
Obama responded and invited Wall to a ceremony at Ground Zero back in May (11), where he promised her he would help put her in touch with Bieber.
Many news outlets subsequently cast doubt on whether Obama would have the power to arrange a Bieber meeting, which prompted the singer to respond publicly in a message through Twitter.com.
He wrote, "I think you're wrong. Pretty sure President Barack Obama will keep this promise. Pay it forward."
And on Thursday (23Jun11) Wall's wish was finally granted - Bieber invited the adoring fan to a recent Big Apple event for a special meet-and-greet.
Wall tells the New York Post, "It was so cool. I couldn't even believe it."
Bieber posed for a photo with Wall, her sister Avery, and a friend - alongside a cardboard cut-out of Obama, who was ultimately responsible for the set-up.
