Paramount's G.I. Joe: Retaliation took the trifecta in the home-video competition last week, coming in at No. 1 on the DVD, Blu-ray, and rental charts. The Nielsen VideoScan First Alert sales chart indicated that the No. 2 film on DVD, the direct-to-video Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox, sold just 13 percent as many copies as the G.I. Joe sequel, Home Media magazine reported. Coming in third was the Jackie Robinson biopic 42, which had held the top position over the previous two weeks. Paramount, which is one of the few companies that do not withhold releases from rental outlets like Netflix and Redbox for 28 days, also saw G.I. Joe: Retaliation shoot to No. 1 on Home Media magazine's rental chart.
