Jump Jump Dance Dance are an exciting new Australia-via-L.A. electro rock act who's self titled debut album is due out on August 2010.
Before the album release the band will release their latest single Modern Eyes on June 25th.
The Modern Eyes video was directed by Clemens Habicht, the director of Friendly Fires' brilliant Skeleton Boy video, and is based on a psychological phenomenon called "pareidolia", where human sufferers imagine faces in objects.
First coming together over a shared love of synthesizers Chris Carter and Simon Lewicki created the Jump Jump Dance Dance soundscape which sits somewhere between dance and rock music to meld the two genres together and create a pop sound with some guts. Jump Jump Dance Dance are also a fully-fledged, truly organic live band and recently played L.A.'s iconic Whisky A Go Go club.
Jump Jump Dance Dance' debut album has been recorded with US producer Dave Sardy (Wolfmother, Oasis, Soulwax and The Ting Tings) and Mark Needham (The Killers, Bloc Party, 3OH!3).
Modern Eyes is set for release on June 25th through etcetc records.
The novel's author saw a cut of the film and loved each of the changes the movie's director had made.
