A man accused of stealing jewels from former TV Catwoman Julie Newmar has pleaded not guilty to a charge of grand theft.
Robert Ouriel was caught by Los Angeles police after attempting to sell the missing gems online.
The actress spotted the items and alerted the cops, leading Ouriel's arrest on suspicion of swiping more than $25,000 (£15,600) worth of jewellery and keepsakes from the star's Hollywood home last year (08).
He appeared in court on Thursday (10Dec09) and argued his innocence.
Ouriel, a former acquaintance of Newmar's, faces up to three years behind bars if convicted of grand theft, reports TMZ.com.
