Julianne Moore is set to play the controversial Republican politician Sarah Palin in an upcoming HBO movie.
Julianne Moore, the American actress who most recently starred in the acclaimed comedy 'The Kids Are Alright', has signed on to play Sarah Palin in a forthcoming movie, reports People Magazine.The Oscar nominated actress will play the former Alaskan governor in Hbo's 'Game Change', based on the best-selling book of the same name. The John Heilemann and Mark Halperin penned expose was a scathing attacking on the 2008 presidential campaign, including revealing stories about Palin and Senator John McCain. The movie is expected to focus on Mccain's controversial decision to pick the 47-year-old as his running mate. The roles of President Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton are yet to be cast but Hbo have confirmed that 'Meet the Parents' director Jay Roach will get behind the camera, with screenwriter Danny Strong penning the script.
As well as 'Game Change', Julianne Moore is also set to star in the upcoming comedy movie 'Another Bullshit Night in Suck City', alongside Robert De Niro and Paul Dano. The film follows the story of a young man who works at various homeless shelters in Boston, where he comes across his brilliant but troubled father.
