Actress Julianna Margulies is heading to trial over a contract dispute with her former management team.

The star filed a countersuit against her former representatives at D/F Management after they accused her of reneging on a deal to pay them commission for landing her the lead in critically-acclaimed legal drama The Good Wife, and scoring her a role as a spokesmodel for cosmetics giant L'Oreal.

They demanded $420,000 (£270,968) in back payments and a court order forcing Margulies to continue handing over a portion of her wages as long as she retains the deals, but the actress fired back, claiming she was never properly presented with a written document of the agreements.

However, she suffered a blow in court this week (begs24Jun13) after a judge threw out her lawyer's motion for dismissal of the case - and ruled there was enough evidence against the actress to proceed to a jury trial, according to Tmz.com.

A trial date has yet to be set.
