Actress Julianna Margulies is recovering from the chicken pox.
The Good Wife star was set to appear at a New York cocktail party in support of her newly-released children's book, Three Magic Balloons, on Thursday (05May16), but she pulled out of the event.
It is unclear how long the 49-year-old has been battling the disease, but she attended the CARE National Conference in Washington, D.C. earlier this week (ends06May16).
"I sat with the extraordinary #MadelineAlbright," she wrote on Instagram.com. "What an accomplished and amazing woman. Congratulations to CARE for their 70th anniversary."

Multi-talented star Jennifer, 40, has been setting the small screen alight with her role as a police officer in Shades of Blue.
She has some competition from veteran television stars though, such as Scandal's Kerry and The Good Wife's Julianna. It seems there is no real-life rivalry between the ladies, as they cuddled up in a group snap uploaded to Jennifer's Instagram page.
Also in the frame were Fargo's Kirsten Dunst, Regina King of American Crime fame, Unreal's Constance Zimmer and The People v. O.J. Simpson's Sarah Paulson.

Long-running TV drama The Good Wife is ending after its current seventh season.
The legal/political series starring Julianna Margulies airs on CBS, the same U.S. network that was home to Sunday night's (07Feb16) Super Bowl, and during the biggest football game of the year, a commercial promoted The Good Wife's "final nine episodes", revealing the show's fate.
A statement from Margulies confirming the news was later released, with the actress praising the work of her castmates and crew over the years.
It reads: "Being a part of The Good Wife has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. As an actress and a producer, it has been an absolute honor to be a part of a series that, throughout seven years, never settled on being just good... but always strived to be extraordinary.

George Clooney stepped back into character as E.R.'s Dr. Doug Ross for a TV skit on Tuesday night (02Feb16).
The movie star was a guest on comedian Jimmy Kimmel's late-night show when he was persuaded to take part in an E.R. reunion. But when he walked in to a makeshift surgery wearing a doctor's coat and stethoscope, he learned the get together had hit a snag from Kimmel, who was playing the patient.
The host explained Julianna Margulies was tied up with her hit show The Good Wife, Noah Wyle had booked a night out with his family, Eriq La Salle was on jury duty, and Anthony Edwards couldn't get out of a SoulCycle class to be there.
But Kimmel had a trick up his sleeve and introduced another former TV doctor, Hugh Laurie - Clooney's Tomorrowland co-star, to help Dr. Ross figure out what was ailing the sick patient.

Attempting to clear up that gossip when asked about her relationship with Panjabi at the New Yorker Festival in the Big Apple over the weekend (03-04Oct15), Margulies told reporters and fans, "It was shot the way (creator) Robert (King) wanted to shoot it. You also have to remember, there's difficulty... (Archie) was also doing another show, called The Fall. I went along with whatever Robert asked me to do and I did it happily."
