Artist-turned-moviemaker Julian Schnabel is planning a major exhibition of Dennis Hopper's works to celebrate the movie star as he battles cancer.
The Hopper show is slated to open at Los Angeles' Museum of Contemporary Art on 11 July (10).
The Easy Rider star, 73, has advanced prostate cancer and reports suggest the actor is close to death.
Museum boss Jeffrey Deitch says, "We’re rushing this exhibition because Dennis is ailing, and I wanted him to be able to participate in the selection of works. He saw the space with us last week."
