Actress Julia Stiles was left freaked out on the set of her new movie It's A Disaster when she learned the house that doubled as her trailer and changing room once belonged to tragic soul legend Marvin Gaye.
The place was next door to the home where the end-of-the-world movie was filmed.
Stiles says, "Marvin Gaye lived there and I don't know if you know Marvin Gaye's fate... His father shot him in the house.
"Instead of having trailers we would have our break time and, like, changing areas in this house next door, where Marvin Gaye died, and nobody wanted to go upstairs because it was kinda sad and crazy.
"I remember walking across the street in between set ups and I swear I heard somebody playing I Heard it Through the Grapevine, and I thought that everybody was playing a joke on me. I went to the other actors and I was like, 'You guys, that is not funny,' and they were like, 'You're crazy, you're hearing things'.
"It turned out the owner of the house is just really obsessed with Marvin Gaye... so he plays I Heard it Through the Grapevine all the time."
