Bosses at America's ABC network are developing the show as a sequel to the movie, which focused on two old friends who realise they have deep feelings for one another when one becomes engaged. The film also starred Dermot Mulroney, Cameron Diaz and Rupert Everett. Rain Man screenwriter Ron Bass, who penned the original script, will co-write the pilot and serve as the series' co-executive producer. Casting details have yet to be announced.
