The official trailer for Mirror Mirror, Tarsem Singh's rival project to Rupert Sanders 'Snow White and the Huntsman', has finally hit the web, showcasing Hollywood actress Julia Roberts in her role as the Evil Queen.

The film's two-and-a-half minute trailer promises an entirely different movie from 'The Huntsman', which stars Kristen Stewart as a Snow White set on revenge. Although the movies are in direct-competition, 'The Huntsman' is likely to deliver a special-effects-heavy foreboding tale, while 'Mirror Mirror' appears almost comedic in tone. Roberts will be looking to outdo South African actress Charlize Theron, who plays the Evil Queen in the rival flick, and she appears in almost every scene of the trailer, cracking humorous one liners along the way. Twilight star Stewart is head-to-head with actress Lily Collins, who has limited speaking parts in the trailer and appears to portray a more traditional version of Snow White, complete with flowing white dress and long brown locks. In the 'Huntsman' trailer that debuted on November 10th, Stewart wears body armour, rides a horse, and carries with her a sword and shield. Mirror Mirror is the latest movie from Relativity Media, a studio behind past successes The Social Network, The Fighter and Zombieland and current blockbuster Immortals. Mirror Mirror is set to open on March 16th 2012.

Meanwhile, Snow White and the Huntsman will hit cinemas in the US on June 1st 2012. In a twist to the original Grimm Brothers tale, the Huntsman ordered to take Snow White into the woods and kill her winds up becoming her protector and mentor in a quest to topple the Evil Queen.
