Rapper Juelz Santana has been sentenced to two years probation following an altercation with his neighbour.

The Hey Ma hitmaker was accused of making death threats against an unidentified male after he allegedly intervened during a fight between the rap star and his girlfriend, Kimbella, at their Englewood, New Jersey home in July, 2011.

Santana, real name LaRon James, was charged with two counts of assault and one count of third-degree threatening, but on Friday (25Jan13) he reached a plea deal with prosecutors and escaped a potential jail sentence.

According to local publication Cliffview Pilot, Superior Court Judge James Guida ruled, "Probation would be a positive factor for the defendant, and incarceration an excessive hardship."
