A Week In Movies: Berlin Wraps Up, Dames Judi And Maggie Hit The Red Carpet, Julia Roberts Films In L.A. And There Are New Trailers For Age Of Adaline, Big Game And Crimson Peak

The Berlin Film Festival wrapped up last weekend after the premiere for Disney's new live-action version of Cinderella, and stars Cate Blanchett, Helena Bonham Carter, Lily James and Richard Madden, plus director Kenneth Branagh were all on hand for the event.

At the awards ceremony, Tom Courtenay and Charlotte Rampling won best actor and actress for their work in 45 Years, directed by Andrew Haigh, the British filmmaker behind the sleeper hit Weekend and the TV series Looking.

The royal premiere of The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel in London was attended by cast members including Judi Dench, Maggie Smith, Celia Imrie, Ronald Pickup, Diana Hardcastle and Tina Desai, who arrived in a tuk-tuk. They were joined on the red carpet by Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall.

Meanwhile in Los Angeles, the stars turned out for the premiere of Hot Tub Time Machine 2, including Adam Scott, Rob Corddry, Craig Robinson, Clark Duke, Gillian Jacobs and Collette Wolfe. The film opens this week in the US and in April in the UK.

Also in Los Angeles, Julia Roberts and Chiwetel Ejiofor were caught on camera shooting a scene on location for their new film The Secret in Their Eyes, a remake of the 2009 Oscar-winning thriller from Argentina. The film also stars Nicole Kidman, who wasn't on-set for what looks like a very emotional scene.

As for new trailers this week, Blake Lively, Harrison Ford and Ellen Burstyn star in The Age of Adaline, a romance about a 29-year-old woman in 1935 who becomes ageless after a freak accident. Eventually she meets a man (Dutch actor Michiel Huisman) who changes her life. The film looks sweeping and very romantic. Also opening in the UK in May, the action-adventure Big Game stars Samuel L. Jackson as a hated US President who survives when Air Force One crashes in an isolated forest, where he's rescued from terrorists by a 13-year-old boy (young Finnish actor Onni Tommila). Costars include Ray Stevenson, Jim Broadbent and Felicity Huffman. From the makers of Rare Exports, this one looks pretty fabulous. Watch 'Big Game' Trailer.

And we also had our first look at Guillermo Del Toro's gothic horror movie Crimson Peak, starring Charlie Hunnam, Jessica Chastain, Tom Hiddleston and Mia Wasikowska. It looks seriously amazing, a haunted house movie like nothing we've seen before. It opens in October. Watch 'Crimson Peak' Trailer.
