Jude Law and Sean Penn's much-anticipated new movie All the King's Men has been removed from the 2006 Oscar race because producers don't want to rush the completion of the project.

The film, based on ROBERT PENN WARREN's bestseller, was scheduled to open in America this Christmas (05) - the heart of the traditional Oscar release season - but now it looks set to miss the next Academy Awards altogether.

The movie, which also stars SIR Anthony Hopkins and Kate Winslet, is expected to open late next year (06) in time for the 2007 Oscars, where it's already being tipped as a leading contenders for Best Picture.
