Teen soul sensation Joss Stone's second album MIND, BODY AND SOUL has gone straight to the top of the British charts.

The 17-year-old singer's follow-up to her 2003 covers disc THE SOUL SESSIONS knocked grunge rockers Green Day's AMERICAN IDIOT off number one on Sunday (03OCT04).

Meanwhile Swedish DJ ERIC PRYDZ managed to hold onto his ruling of the singles charts for a third week with CALL ON ME, despite strong competition from Ronan Keating's track I HOPE YOU DANCE, American duo Deep Dish's FLASHDANCE and REM's LEAVING NEW YORK, which reached numbers two, three and five respectively.

Despite a huge success in her native America with her album AUTOBIOGRAPHY reaching number one, Ashlee Simpson's single PIECES OF ME only managed a number four place.
