Soul singer Joss Stone is set to record a campaign song for US presidential candidate Barack Obama, according to reports.
The Devon-born songwriter is reported to have been personally asked by the Illinois senator to create a track to be the theme to his election campaign.
Stone is the perfect choice for Obama as she is seen to appeal to both black and white voters in the US, the Sun newspaper claims.
A source told the paper that Stone is a "big supporter" of Obama and is "very excited" to have been asked.
"He has always admired her music," they added.
"She believes he is going to be the first black American president and she is honoured to be a part of that."
If the report is correct, Stone will become the latest celebrity to give Obama their backing.
Scarlett Johansson is one of his many high-profile supporters, alongside Alicia Keys and Jay-Z.
