British soul star Joss Stone has condemned the riots in her native U.K. over the summer (11), insisting everyone involved should "go to prison".
Violence broke out in a number of English cities, including London and Manchester, in August (11), with rioters setting buildings on fire, looting shops and causing chaos.
Stone is adamant the rioters were not interested in fighting for social change and should pay for their crimes.
She tells Theage.com.au, "There is a reason to protest in England at the moment, but that's not why the riots happened. Nobody was standing up with anything to say, they weren't fighting for s**t. They were just destroying people's homes and small businesses, and people died. I hope they all go to prison. Fighting each other is ridiculous."
