Joss Stone is still "baffled" by a foiled plot to kidnap her.

The singer was targeted by two men who were arrested near her home in Devon, South West England, in June and charged with planning to commit robbery and conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm and although she is trying not to worry about it, Joss admitted she doesn't understand why she was targeted.

She told YOU magazine: I'm fine, if slightly baffled by it. I can't stress about what didn't happen, that would seem silly. Every job has positives and negatives and I guess this was one of the negatives that comes with mine. I don't expect life to be perfect. I just try to make it as fun as possible."

However, Joss admitted there is one positive to the terrifying incident, she is now more security conscious.

She explained: "In that sense it's been a blessing in disguise. I now lock all my doors and have a sophisticated alarm system. But it's highlighted to me how brilliant the community down here is. Everyone around is like extended family, all of us looking out for each other. I could never live anywhere else

Two men, Junior Bradshaw, 30, and 33-year-old Kevin Liverpool - both from Manchester, North West England - were at Exeter Crown Court recently for a preliminary hearing.

The 24-year-old pop star is now concentrating on her new super-group Super Heavy, which she has formed with Sir Mick Jagger, Dave Stewart, Damian Marley and A.R. Rahman.
