Most men, when they propose to the woman of their dreams, buy them a ring, as a token of their love. A nice sparkly number that they can show off down the local supermarket and smirk as their single friends grimace and try not to weep with jealousy. If, however, you are Joshua Jackson, you may decide to do something a little less run-of-the-mill for your beautiful German actress-turned-model girlfriend.
Today (May 24, 2012), People magazine have reported that Joshua has purchased a designer necklace by Carla Amorim, for a reported sum $45,000 and rumour has it the former Dawson's Creek star was mumbling something about it making a nice engagement present for his partner Diane Kruger. The official line from the Jackson camp is that no engagement is on the cards but unless he fancies himself in a ladies' designer necklace, made of 11.7 white carat diamonds set in 18k rose gold, it seems likely that the necklace is, at least, a gift for his loved one. It seems like a pretty extravagant present for her birthday (which is coming up in a few weeks). The purchase was made at the 'Nights In Monaco' benefit dinner for Bill Clinton and Prince Albert's respective foundations.
Elsewhere, Joshua and Diane have ben snapped in a variety of stunning outfits, at the Cannes Film Festival. The Mirror have published pictures of the celebrity couple together; in one snap, Diane is looking stunning in a floor length silver-sequinned, strapless dress, designed by Vivienne Westwood. You could say that all the outfit was missing was a nice necklace.
