Josh Duhamel says he and Ashton Kutcher were like the vain, fictional character Derek Zoolander in their days as male models.
The actors used to compete in competitions during their days as male models and 'Safe Haven' star Josh admitted there were some similarities between them and the fictional model portrayed by Ben Stiller in spoof movie 'Zoolander'.
He told Yahoo's OMG!: ''We joke about it all the time. When I see him, we always have a good laugh about it. We were so into it. We thought we were so cool. It was like a real-life 'Zoolander'.''
While Josh beat Ashton to the title of Male Model of the Year in 1997, Ashton went on to find Fame before Josh did but he insists they are no longer competitive.
Josh explained: ''We went two different ways. He like immediately shot to stardom after: he did a big Calvin Klein campaign and 'That '70s Show', and I struggled for a number of years. But now we laugh about it.
''It's funny. Every time I see him, it's great. It's not nearly as competitive as it was when we were battling on the runway. I'm actually really happy for him and all his success.''
