It's clear from the very start that this movie has little to do with the 1977-1983 beloved hit TV series. Firstly, the film ignores the capitalisation that would make sense of the title. And the main characters, while they have familiar names, are completely different people. So fans of the show will be justifiably angry that it has been merely referenced to make a half-hearted mash-up of The Hangover and Fast & Furious. Which might not be a bad idea if the gross-out comedy was funny and the action was even remotely thrilling.
In this version, Poncharello is the undercover name assigned to a Miami FBI agent (Michael Pena) who is sent to Los Angeles to investigate a string of armoured car robberies that might involve dirty cops. He is partnered with officer Jon Baker (Dax Shepard) riding motorcycles with the California Highway Patrol (they're CHiPs, not Chips). Jon is a former hotshot off-road motorbike champ who has broken every bone in his body and has only joined the police to try to win back his estranged, monstrous wife (Kristen Bell). But he's such a high-energy idiot that he's starting the job on probation. As their case develops, it's instantly clear that the mastermind is the villainous officer Kurtz (Vincent D'Onofrio). And their investigation is complicated by the arrival of Ponch's FBI boss (Isiah Whitlock Jr.) and partner (Adam Brody).
The lazy script never tries to crank up any real mystery or tension in the plot. Instead, the film is just a series of smutty jokes and incoherent stunt sequences, plus running gags that never reach a punchline. All of this is infused with relentless sexism, as the camera leers shamelessly at every woman. And the laddish misogyny is accompanied by constant homophobia, which is addressed in the dialogue in a feeble attempt to undercut the baldfaced bigotry. This makes all of the characters resolutely unlikeable. Ponch and Jon are such self-absorbed jerks that it's inconceivable that they would ever be allowed to be policemen.

With the few remaining Autobots in hiding, the world is a dark place. Galvatron is still at large and Optimus Prime has left earth to fulfil a bigger mission, having gone to seek out the Creators. Having previously helped the Autobots, Cade Yeager is still in danger and the war between man and machine is reaching ever higher levels.
The Decepticons still have a wish to invade and take over the planet Earth and now it looks like they might be in the best position to do so. Why do these machines have such a fascination with our planet and how many genuine Autobots are left to help fight alongside humans?
The soundtrack to the first trailer for Transformers: The Last Knight is a re-working of Flaming Lips single 'Do You Realize' recorded by Ursine Vulpine.
‘Misconduct’ managed to make just £97 during its limited UK release.
With 12 Oscar nominations between them, you would think that any film which boasts Al Pacino and Anthony Hopkins among its cast would be a sure fire success. But sadly this wasn't the case for thriller Misconduct, which manage to take less than £100 during its opening weekend at the UK box office.
Al Pacino stars in Misconduct.
Alongside Pacino and Hopkins, the film also stars Josh Duhamel and Julia Stiles. It follows an ambitious lawyer (Duhamel) who finds himself caught between a corrupt pharmaceutical executive and his firm's senior partner (Hopkins and Pacino). As the case takes a deadly turn, lawyer Ben must search to uncover the truth before he loses everything.
Her album's out in ten days, you say?
There's really not much excuse for this; Josh Duhamel has dropped some major news about wife Fergie's music plans regarding her tour and album release. And it's not like he doesn't know about keeping secrets in showbiz given that he's an actor himself. Well at least he's showing an interest.
Duhamel spills the beans about Fergie's album
Former Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie is due to unveil her second solo album, ten years after her debut 'The Dutchess'. Entitled 'Double Dutchess', it's actually been quite a while in the making. She released the album's lead single 'L.A. Love (La La)' back in 2014, but we haven't heard anything since.

Fergie has taken some time out since welcoming son Axl Jack into the world with Josh Duhamel.
We may not have been seeing much of Fergie in recent months, but that doesn't mean she hasn't been super busy. The singer took some time out to enjoy becoming a mother for the first time following the birth of Axl Jack Duhamel in August 2013.
Fergie's loving becoming a mother
Speaking on the red carpet at the 2014 American Music Awards, the star admitted how much she was enjoying raising her son with hubby Josh Duhamel, whom she married back in 2009. 'Motherhood is amazing', she gushed. 'I had no idea it would be so fun. Learning about holidays through a whole new set of eyes and a whole brain.'

When Kate (Hillary Swank), a concert pianist, is diagnosed with ALS (also known as Motor Neurone Disease or Lou Gehrig’s Disease), she realsised that not only does she have to give up on her career, but only a short time left to live. As she will steadily lose the ability to walk and care for herself, she is entrusted to the care of Bec (Emmy Rossum), a reckless college student. The two steadily begin to develop a strong bond, as Kate is able to see Bec’s true appreciation for every part of life, and feels a little more alive because of it.

The most surprising thing about this comedy is that it's not very funny, but then it's not meant to be. This is a trippy odyssey into the mind of a drug-addled guy who thinks the world is falling apart around him. Sure, it's fitfully amusing, but it's also harrowing and utterly bonkers. And there are some moments of sublime emotion in there too.
Dan Fogler stars as Warren, a 33-year-old unemployed graphic novelist who is haunted by dreams about the world ending on 21st December 2012. But there's another date approaching much sooner that has him even more shaken: his wedding to his rather too-hot fiancee Karen (Kelly Hitchinson), who is trying to get pregnant as she plans the big day. Then in a peyote-induced stupor, Warren becomes convinced that he has been given some sort of psychic insight into the apocalypse, and asks his best pal Balance (Yang Miller) to help him make a documentary film about the strange events going on around him. And things get very strange indeed.
Written and directed by Fogler and Michael Canzoniero, the film flickers back and forth between Warren's luridly coloured drug trips and his even more jarring lucid moments. Every scene is packed with existential chatter, like a Woody Allen movie for potheads, while the tone swings wildly between dark drama, broad slapstick and even a couple of zany musical numbers. Which is appropriate for a film set in the mind of a man who isn't always sober. It's not easy to watch this slobby nice guy lose his mind, but there are observations along the way that add strong resonance.

Josh Duhamel and Dan Fogler become stranded in the desert.
Scenic Route has finally been released on DVD in the USA after enjoying a limited, but well-received summer cinema outing. This Michael and Kevin Goetz, Josh Duhamel-starring indie premiered at the South by Southwest Film Festival last March, which means you may have missed this surreal psychological thriller the first time round.
Josh Duhamel & Dan Fogler Are Two Friends Whose Roadtrip Goes Awry.
Here's why you shouldn't let it pass you by now: Josh Duhamel and Dan Fogler star in a movie of two halves. A man with a seemingly perfect life embarks on a roadtrip with one of his lifelong friends but their desert drive takes a darker turn when they break down in the middle of nowhere with no phone signal.
Mitchell seemed to have the perfect life with a beautiful wife, a family, nice house and a successful career. However, he finds himself missing old times from his youth and so embarks on a road trip with a friend who has known him his whole life, Carter. During the long trip, their pickup truck breaks down in the middle of a desert road leaving them stranded with no signal on their cell phones to call for help. It's not too long before a supposed stroke of luck, though, when another car stops to help them. In a strange turn of events, Carter waves the other driver away insisting that they hadn't actually broken down, and admits to a furious Mitchell that he took a wire out in a bid to have a catch up with his old friend. They do talk, but as the frozen desert night air overcomes them, tensions arise as they begin to criticise each other's lives - an argument that very quickly turns nasty.
