Danish film-maker Jorgen Leth has been stripped of his honorary consul role in the Caribbean island of Haiti, after admitting to an affair with a teenager.

The DE FEM BENSPAEND (THE FIVE OBSTRUCTIONS) director, 68, revealed in his autobiography THE IMPERFECT HUMAN that he had enjoyed a love affair with the 18-year-old daughter of his Haitian cleaner.

Following the revelations, the poet, writer and TV presenter, is no longer the Danish counsel and has been fired as the cycling commentator for Danish TV channel TV2.
