Singer Jordin Sparks teamed up with U.S. First Lady Michelle Obama on Thursday (28Feb13) to promote a new school initiative in Illinois.
The No Air hitmaker joined Barack Obama's wife in a visit to a learning facility in Chicago to encourage children to take up exercise as part of the Let's Move! Active Schools scheme.
Tennis star Serena Williams also turned out to support the event, and Sparks hopes the youngsters at the school felt inspired.
In a post on her Twitter.com page, she writes, "So much fun getting kids 2 (to) move & expressing the importance of being active."
