Singing legend Joni Mitchell is set to follow in the footsteps of Sir Paul McCartney by signing an album distribution deal with coffee giant Starbucks. The Big Yellow Taxi star is the latest signing to the chain's Hear Music label, and will release her first new work in almost ten years in Starbucks stores. MCCartney sparked controversy last month (Jun07) for choosing to distribute Memory Almost Full through Starbucks - but almost 45 per cent of the disc's 447,000 sales originated from the chain's stores. Shine will be released on the Hear Music label on 25 September (07).
