Chelsea Handler wasn't the only celebrity to find Kim Kardashian's recent image on the cover of 'Paper' magazine distasteful.
Mariah Carey looked stunning in a shimmering light blue gown on the red carpet at the 2014 Fresh Air Fund Gala held at Pier Sixty at Chelsea Piers in New York. The dress featured a daringly plunging neckline and Mariah teamed her outfit with a pair of silver fingerless gloves. She could be seen having her hair repeatedly combed by an assistant and talking to a reporter.
'Boardwalk Empire' star Michael Shannon and 'Weeds' actress Mary Louise Parker were seen arriving at the Esquire 80th anniversary celebration in New York, which also celebrated the launch of the magazine's brand new TV network. The channel will air TV shows on a range of subjects that are currently discussed in various sections of the publication.
Kardashian beau Scott Disick has been involved in the launch of Kanye West's new album Yeezus by playing an axe-wielding, Yeezy-worshipping role that references the 2000 thriller 'American Psycho'.
The two minute clip parodies the infamous American Psycho scene where psychopathic Patrick Bateman (played by Christian Bale) casually sets up the gruesome axe murder of his unsuspecting colleague.
In Disick's incarnation there is a twist however: after initially asking whether his businessman friend Peter (played by Kim K's friend Jonathan Cheban) likes Kanye West's music, the suave Bateman-lookalike begins to wax lyrical about the rapper's career, assessing its highs and lows.
The clip is wonderfully tongue in cheek in its overacting and emphatic lauding of West's work: "The early work was a little too hip hop for me and my taste but when Dark Twisted Fantasy came out in 2010, I think he really came into his own, both musically and lyrically" says an animated Disick before calmly lifting his glinting axe whilst his victim looks the other way.
Kim Kardashian and her close friend Jonathan Cheban were left shaken this week after a paparazzo literally ran into the pair while trying to get a photograph of the reality star and her baby bump. The friends were shopping in Miami when the incident happened, leaving Cheban incensed.
"They were eating at Serafina and then heading to The Webster when Jonathan got hit by a paparazzi. He was heard saying, "She's pregnant. Watch the baby, Kim," an eyewitness told the Huffington Post. "You could tell they were both upset, particularly Jonathan. Kim is used to being followed by photographers, but since the baby announcement she has become the most photographed person in America." Kardashian had been photographed trying on tons of clothes in the Miami boutiques, picking out sizes that were much larger than normal.
Following the latest incident, Kim is likely to remain out of the limelight for the coming months. One friend said, "As the birth of the baby gets closer and closer, we should all expect to see less of Kim out and about. It is going to be safer for her and the baby to just stay home." She was photographed leaving a gym in Studio City accompanied by a police escort last week.
