Sony has commissioned a sequel to '21 Jump Street' with Jonah Hill and Michael Bacall set to write it.
A sequel to '21 Jump Street' has been commissioned.
The comedy movie - starring Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum - has been a huge box office success in its opening weekend, and studio Sony are now keen to see a follow-up, with both actor-and-writer Jonah and fellow scribe Michael Bacall on board to create it.
No deals are yet in place with regards to stars, but it is expected Channing would be willing to reprise the role of Jenko.
It is not known if filmmaking duo Phil Lord and Chris Miller will return to direct the film, as they are now working on a Lego film and other projects.
Channing has a number of movies set to be released in the next year, including 'G.I. Joe: Retaliation' - where he plays Captain Duke Hauser - and stripper movie 'Magic Mike' alongside Alex Pettyfer.
Jonah, who was nominated for an Oscar for his performance in 'Moneyball', will next been seen in 'Neighborhood Watch' and 'Good Time Gang'.
