Jon Cryer says he checks the internet for daily updates on his co-star Charlie Sheen, to see whether he should go to work.
JON CRYER, the 45-year-old American actor and star of 'Two and a Half Men', joked about his friend CHARLIE SHEEN's apparent 'partying' when he appeared on the CONAN O BRIEN show last week.It has recently been reported that Sheen's latest hospitalisation has led to the hit sitcom being put on hold, but Cryer was in good spirits about the situation, saying, "The stuff you hear is just unbelievable. I'm checking TMZ - as I do every day to see if I have to go to work at all - and there is a story: they found Charlie's car... at the bottom of a cliff. So you're thinking, 'Wow, sure hope Charlie's OK". Sheen is now undergoing rehabilitation from his own home in Los Angeles, and it has been suggested that cancelling 'Two and a Half Men' could cost CBS as much as $250 million in domestic syndication revenue. However, Cryer played down the stories about his co-star, adding, "He comes into work and it's like, 'Hey, Charlie. How's it going, man?' And you're checking for scratches - because my mind had come up with this whole thing that he'd crashed the car and then clawed his way back up the cliff.and he said, 'I'm doing OK, except that somebody stole my car and ran it off a cliff last night'".
Sheen has courted vast amounts of media attention since his now infamous night at the New York Plaza Hotel in October 2010, where he was led away by authorities to undergo a psychiatric examination.
