Johnny Depp discusses 'The Lone Ranger' in which he collaborates again with director Gore Verbinski and stars as the Native American sidekick of the title character Tonto and serves as executive producer. He talks about working with Gore and feeling like he's gone back in time on set.
'Gore was really the only guy to make this film', he says. 'Like the first few 'Pirates.' that he did, there was just no-one else that could've come close to fitting all this information into this couple o' hour thing with as much insanity and mad action sequences.' On the spectacular location of the movie, he explains wistfully, 'When you're standing in the middle of Canyon de Chelly, this unbelievable sacred place for the Navajo and you have access to it, no white man has been there in god knows how many years. you've entered a completely different space in time.'
