The Pirates Of The Caribbean actor took a break from shooting the fifth film of the series to pay a short visit to an Australian children's hospital.
Johnny Depp surprised patients at a children’s hospital in Australia with a flying visit dressed in his full Pirates Of The Caribbean costume, delighting the staff and young patients as his flamboyant, swashbuckling character Captain Jack Sparrow.
Taking a leaf out of fellow Hollywood superstar Chris Pratt’s book, the 52 year old actor dropped in dressed as one of his movie characters in order to raise spirits at Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital in Brisbane, according to ABC Australia on Tuesday (July 7th).

The Oscar-nominated actors spent time with the youngsters staying at the hospitals, as well as their families and staff. Depp’s trademark eyeliner and dreadlocks were in place as he posed for photographs, shook hands and granted a brief interview to a local TV station.
The Children’s Hospital Foundation shared some photos of the heartwarming visit on its official Facebook page, writing: “Two very famous pirates made a special surprise visit to the Lady Cilento Children's Hospital last night.”
“Dressed in full costume, both Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow and Stephen Graham as Scrum spent over three hours making a real difference to sick kids and their families in hospital!” The actors reportedly made a grand entrance, arriving via a helicopter that landed on the hospital’s roof.
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales has been vaunted since 2011, and is slated for an eventual 2017 release, some six years after the last flick On Stranger Tides. Orlando Bloom and Geoffrey Rush will both be returning to their familiar roles alongside Depp.
