Speculation of unrest in the relationship of Johnny Depp, 48, and singer Vanessa Paradis, 39, first began to circulate last month, though multiple sources now say the romance is all but officially finished.
In a report by People magazine, it is claimed the Hollywood star and his partner no longer have a fairy-tale home-life in the sleepy French hamlet of Plan-de-la-Tour and spend most of their time in Los Angeles - when they are in the same city at all. The A-list pair, who are parents to Lily-Rose, 12, and Jack, 9, have not made a red-carpet appearance together for over a year and some sources say the couple of nearly 14 years have already split. One insider close to both stars confirmed the news, adding, "It's so sad". Depp made an appearance at the Golden Globes on Sunday (15 January 2012), where he shared a joke with host Ricky Gervais about his poorly received movie 'The Tourist' with Angelina Jolie. Despite rumors of unrest in his personal life, 2011 was another hugely successful year for the actor, who starred once again as Captain Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, and voiced the lead character in the animated hit 'Rango'. Towards the end of the year, he played a version of his late-friend Hunter S Thompson in The Rum Diary.
2012 is looking likely to be an even busier year for Depp, who will first make a cameo in 21 Jump Street, before appearing as Barnabas Collins in Tim Burton's Dark Shadows and Tonto in a remake of The Lone Ranger.
