Johnny Depp had difficulty saying goodbye on the set of new western ONCE UPON A TIME IN MEXICO because it was one of his most enjoyable movie-making experiences.

The actor teamed up with Enrique Iglesias and Antonio Banderas in the Robert Rodriguez movie, and admits it was a real thrill.

He says, "It was the first time I found myself going to a director and saying, 'Isn't there anything else we can shoot? Let's make something up. I wanna stay. Let's do more.' I enjoyed every second of it."

The actor is such a fan of the film he even wrote a song that appears on the movie's soundtrack.
