Fact: Johnny Cash's singer daughter Rosanne is set to be honoured as New York public radio Wfuv's Artist of the Year. The country star will receive the accolade at a prizegiving gala on Thursday night (09May13) at the Edison Ballroom in Manhattan.

Fact: Country star Glen Campbell's lifestory is about to be turned into a new movie by the man who produced Johnny Cash biopic Walk the Line. Moviemaker James Keach has just signed on to develop a film based on the Wichita Lineman singer's amazing story from talented studio guitarist and part-time Beach Boys star, through his heyday as a music and TV superstar, to his drink and drug woes and his current battle with Alzheimer's Disease.

The download giant announced earlier this year (10) that the customer who bought the milestone tune would be handed a $10,000 (£6,250) iTunes gift card. The lucky winner was named as 71-year-old Georgia resident Louie Sulcer.

Fact: The music of Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis and CARL PERKINS is heading to Broadway. A new show, titled Million Dollar Quartet, is set to hit New York City in the spring (10). The stage spectacular is inspired by a 1956 jam session between the four legendary musicians and will feature classic hits like Presley's Blue Suede Shoes and Cash's I Walk The Line.
