John Travolta got more female attention when he was bald.

The 'Grease' actor is seriously considering shaving his head and wearing a goatee beard permanently because everyone - including his wife Kelly Preston - thought he looked he looked much better when he sported the look for his film 'From Paris With Love'.

He is quoted by gossip website Absolute Now as saying: "It was quite a radical look for me and I was a little concerned about what people might think. Not only did Kelly like it but they did an on-line survey and 99 per cent of people preferred it to my usual look. I might just go bald and bearded full-time from now on."

John is not the only star who is tempted by fashioning a bare scalp.

Michael Sheen recently apologised to his daughter for not being bald.

The actor had to warn his 10-year-old daughter Lily he would not cut his hair for the role of Aro in 'The Twilight Saga: New Moon' - even though she expected the character to.

He explained: "I said, 'What does he look like?' She said, 'He's bald.' I think she was mixing it up with Nosferatu, the old vampire, you know?

"I was very aware of that because of my own daughter. I said, 'Sorry, I'm not bald. I've got long hair.' "
