Madonna And Ritchie To Start Adoption Search 'In October'

Madonna Guy Ritchie Brad Pitt Angelina Jolie John Ritchie

Madonna and her film-maker husband Guy Ritchie are planning to start searching for a child to adopt in October (06), once the pop superstar finishes her Confessions world tour.
The MATERIAL GIRL - who already has two children, LOURDES, nine, and ROCCO, five - wants more kids so the couple have hired the adoption lawyer who worked for their friends Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.
The 47-year-old singer and Ritchie have also talked to adoption agencies in both the US and the UK.
An insider tells British newspaper The Sun, "Madonna and Guy are serious about adopting a baby. They had a meeting with a British adoption agency but were not satisfied that it was the right one.
"So they found another agency in America and had a meeting with them about becoming parents to an orphaned baby.
"They both love children and are desperate to expand their family."
Earlier this week (begs17JUL06), Ritchie's father John Ritchie said, "I love my grandchildren, and of course nothing would make me happier than if they do adopt.
"How lovely to have another one, it sounds like such great, great fun.
"I'm sure both Rocco and Lourdes would love it as they are so close and another sibling would be super."

Madonna And Ritchie 'Back On Track'

After enduring a rough patch in their relationship, Madonna and husband Guy Ritchie are stronger than ever and are even considering adopting a child.
Guy's father John Ritchie caused headlines earlier this year (06) when he spoke about the celebrity couple's marital strife, but now claims the family is back together.
He tells American publication In Touch Weekly, "Their marriage is back on track. I know that Madonna is away a lot at the moment and leaving Guy alone, but it just isn't a problem.
"He knows that will happen and he is not worried about it at all. He doesn't mind her working. Their marriage is back on track."
The elder Ritchie even addressed rumours that the couple may be adding to their family saying, "I love my grandchildren, and of course nothing would make me happier than if they do adopt.
"How lovely to have another one, it sounds like such great, great fun.
"I'm sure both ROCCO and LOURDES would love it as they are so close and another sibling would be super."

Ritchie Senior: 'My Son Is Struggling But Won't Give Up'

Guy Ritchie Revolver John Ritchie Madonna

Guy Ritchie is determined not to quit directing despite the failure of his last two films, his father JOHN reveals. SWEPT AWAY and Revolver flopped at the box office, but 76-year-old John Ritchie insists Guy won't give up and isn't jealous of his wife Madonna's success. John says, "Guy's career is not going well. His last two films have flopped, so it's a pressure. "But he still believes he has it in him. He has two more movies in mind to write and he's hoping to get them done in LA. "It doesn't bother him that Madonna is so successful, but obviously he wants to be successful himself."

Madonna Works At Marriage For Her Children

Madonna and her film-maker husband Guy Ritchie have vowed to put their marital troubles behind them for the sake of their son ROCCO, five, and the pop superstar's daughter LOURDES, nine. The couple have left their London home for a stay in Los Angeles, where they want to spend some quality time together as a family. SNATCH director Ritchie's father John Ritchie tells UK magazine Closer, "It's the children that will keep them together. The children are everything to them. "LA seems to have helped them. It's easier out there because there is less pressure. They seem to have left the bumps they were having over here behind them. "They have put everything behind them and have gone to LA to enjoy themselves. They're able to go home at night and be together. They both want to see the children. "They are going to have a good time out there and be a family. "You can never know that things will work, but they do seem to be fitting into each other more."

The Sex Pistols' frontman Johnny Rotten raised eyebrows in New York over the weekend (22-24AUG03), when he chose to party at the spot where late bandmate Sid Vicious was arrested for murder.

Rotten and his bandmates Paul Cook and Glen Matlock enjoyed an after-hours bash at SERENA'S nightclub in the Big Apple's notorious CHELSEA HOTEL after their Jones Beach gig.

The Chelsea is the hotel where Vicious, real name John Ritchie, had been co-habiting with girlfriend and fellow junkie NANCY SPUNGEN in Room 100. It's also the spot where Vicious was arrested for stabbing Spungen to death - four months before his 1979 suicide.

Madonna's Father-In-Law: I Have No Idea What To Buy Rocco

Madonna John Ritchie Guy Ritchie

Pop superstar Madonna's enormous wealth has left father-in-law John Ritchie stumped - he has no clue what to buy grandson ROCCO for his birthday later this month (11AUG03).

Husband Guy Ritchie's own dad is amazed by the volume of playthings the three-year old has already acquired and knows that adding to the pile is fruitless.

He moans, "Rocco is a super little chap but what do you get for the boy who has everything? As you pass a toy over it just gets added to the pile.

Madonna's father-in-law has branded the Kabbalah religion a "cult" - even though son Guy Ritchie and his superstar wife are devotees.

John Ritchie, 74, is not convinced by the Jewish-based philosophy, despite the fact that Madonna and Guy recently donated $5.84 million (GBP3.65 million) for a new central London office for the faith.

John says, "At 74, I'm too old to become involved in a cult. I think life is for living and that you don't need to add any extra adjectives to explain how to do that. You should just get on with it."
