Sleepy Hollow - one of the TV highlights of 2013 - is back for season 2.
Fans packed into the Dolby Theatre on Wednesday event for a PaleyFest 2014 event about Fox's breakout drama 'Sleepy Hollow,' which is returning for season two this year. It's been two months since the thrilling finale of season one and the enthusiastic crowd in Los Angeles were treated to a preview of what's to come. Be warned, spoilers ahead.
Sleepy Hollow was one of the most popular TV dramas of 2013.
Season one ended with Henry Parrish (John Noble) revealed as the second Horseman, and producer Mark Goffman promised more to come for the character.
"[Henry's] going to be in town. It's going to be a major presence in season two," Goffman said: "It's a season about war, it's a season about redemption. What do you do when your son becomes the Horseman of War in the apocalypse? Ichabod is going to have to contemplate assuming he gets out of the pine box he's in."
It was also hunted that new villains will be heading to Sleepy Hollow for Ichabod and co to worry about.
"War doesn't work by itself," co-creator/executive producer Roberto Orci teased. "There are a lot of amazing foot soldiers coming, familiar and also original."
"One of the things we wanted to bring to light was who best to be an opponent for the Horseman and creating a new creature that actually our team kind of controls but doesn't - a dangerous creation that Headless will have to come to face -- possibly with his own face," adding co-creator/executive producer/director Len Wiseman, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Sleepy Hollow season 2 will premiere later this year, on Fox.
