John Lennon's widow Yoko Ono has called for his murderer Mark Chapman to be locked up until he dies. Chapman has been in prison since he shot Lennon to death outside his Manhattan home on 8 December 1980. He has been up for parole on a number of occasions, but it has always been denied - and Ono insists he should never be released. In an interview with Mojo magazine, the 74-year-old says, "I'm a practical, logical person and I think it would be very dangerous for him to come out. Both for himself and for Julian, Sean and me."
