A film charting the life of John Lennon's assassin has been criticised as disrespectful for shooting at the location where the former beatle was murdered.
Security officials outside the Dakota apartment building, where the IMAGINE hitmaker was shot dead by Mark David Chapman on 8 December 1980, are livid that filming on the sacred spot is going ahead and, according to website PageSix.com, there are frequent clashes with crew members.
CHAPTER 27 - which stars Jared Leto as the infamous killer, as well as Lindsay Lohan as a Lennon fan - is being filmed outside the musician's former home at Central Park West and 72nd Street, where his widow YOKO ONO still lives.
But broker WENDY SARASOHN, who has business interests in the area, alleges she has seen movie employees "being chased away".
She adds that security has been stepped up in nearby buildings making it virtually impossible to gain access.
She says, "I've never seen security anything like it."
