The iconic Two Virgins photo of John Lennon and Yoko Ono in the nude was taken in private because the late beatle was terrified of baring all.
The full frontal picture of the pair later became the cover of their 1968 experimental album, but Lennon was far from comfortable about showing his nude body to the world at the time.
Ono recalls, "John was no exhibitionist.
"He took that Two Virgins photo with a timer and cleared everyone out of the room so we could do it in secret.
"It was so funny because the whole world would eventually see it anyway."
