John Lennon's widow Yoko Ono has signed a deal with legendary guitar manufacturer Gibson to release a series of limited edition instruments as part of the late musician's 70th birthday celebrations.
Ono put on three concerts in memory of the Beatles legend over the weekend (02-03Oct10) to mark what would have been the musician's 70th on 9 October (10).
She has also asked bosses at Gibson to release a limited number of J-160E guitars - the model the late music legend played, as well as 70 replicas of Lennon's J-160E instrument, complete with his own personal sketches doodled on the side.
Fans will also be able to buy 500 replicas of an earlier model on Saturday (09Oct10) to mark the occasion.
Prices range from $4,700 (£3,133) to $15,000 (£10,000), according to the Bozeman Daily Chronicle.
