John Legend unveiled 'Love Me Now' yesterday, the first song from his upcoming fifth studio album 'Darkness and Light' which is yet to be given a release date. He performed a live acoustic version of the track on his piano at home for his latest Facebook Live video.

Premiering the song on Thursday night (October 6th 2016), John Legend also announces the impending launch of his latest album. 'Love Me Now' It's a sensational ballad and the lyric video is a tearjerking endeavor with lots of people including children communicating in sign language. It appears to explore all kinds of love, the familial and romantic.
''Love Me Now' is all about living and loving to the fullest, no matter what tomorrow may bring', he said in a statement. 'I'm so excited to finally share music from my new album. I've put a lot of love and energy into making this album special. I hope my fans can feel it.'
He performed the song in a Facebook Live video on piano at his home, where he also described his upcoming album as his 'best work yet'. Co-produced by Blake Mills and John Ryan, John says we can expect it by the end of the year, with guest collaborators including Chance The Rapper, Brittany Howard from Alabama Shakes and Miguel.
'Darkness and Light' will follow John's 2013 release 'Love in the Future' which featured the stellar hit and his first number one single 'All of Me'. He followed that up with 'You & I (Nobody in the World)', and the last work he did before 'Love Me Now' was the Academy Award winning 'Glory' with Common for the 2014 film 'Selma'. Since then he has featured on such tracks as Sam Smith's 'Lay Me Down', Meghan Trainor's 'Like I'm Gonna Lose You' and Tiësto's 'Summer Nights'.
John Legend will next be performing at Atlantis, the Paradise Island Resort in the Bahamas on December 1st 2016.
