The stars of cult 80s TV hit MAGNUM P.I. are fuming after discovering Hollywood bosses are planning to make a movie version of the show without them.
TOM SELLECK shot to fame in the show, playing mustachioed, Hawaii-based private investigator THOMAS MAGNUM alongside regular co-stars John Hillerman (playing JONATHAN HIGGINS), ROGER E MOSLEY (THEODORE TC CALVIN) and LARRY MANETTI (ORVILLE 'RICK' WRIGHT) - between 1980 and 1988.
The original cast were recently reported to be planning a comeback themselves - but now UNIVERSAL PICTURES have snapped up the movie rights, and say they don't want to include any of the stars in their film plans.
Manetti, now 56, says, "It's an outrage."
A spokesperson for 58-year-old Selleck also confirms he has not been asked to appear in any Magnum movie.29/09/2003 13:54
