John Galliano has been offered a role as creative director of Russian perfume and cosmetics company L'Etoile.
John Galliano has landed a new job.
Dior's former creative director, who was fired in 2011 when he was caught on camera making anti-Semitic slurs at a Paris café, has been offered a position at Russian perfume and cosmetics company L'Etoile.
The designer is apparently due to start his new role, which includes working on their private-label cosmetics line, on May 22.
According to Russian media reports, L'Etoile is similar to high street beauty emporium Sephora.
Galliano has been out of a job since his fall from grace, which also saw him dismissed from his namesake label.
His good friend Oscar de la Renta offered him a chance at redemption in January 2013 with a three-week residency at his studio, working on his autumn/winter 2013 colleciton.
Despite the role not becoming permanent, Oscar said: ''I very strongly felt that when people fall, you should try to lift them up. I think everyone in life deserves a second chance. I'm not sure about a third or fourth. It was great to have another eye. It's so important to have someone challenge you.''
There's already an Oscars buzz surrounding this movie.
